1. The lion has a strong mentality.

The royalty of the lion is a product of it's mentality. The lion thinks like the king of the forest. The elephant is the biggest, the chetta is the fastest, the grizzly bear is the strongest, the giraffe is the tallest but the lion is regarded as the king of the jungle because of it's mentality.

The elephant sees the lion & screens my eaten while the lion sees the elephant and thinks my food.

To lead people you must invest in your mind. You need consistent intake of relevant information into your mind. You need a tough mind to lead. Leadership is a game of the mind.

2. The lion feeds on fresh meat.

The lion does not eat dead meat but fresh kills. You need fresh inspiration, relevant Knowlege on your field to lead. How can you be a leader and you have not read any book, journals or gone for leadership conference to upgrade your Knowlege bank?

It is said no matter how hungry a lion is in the jungle, it will never eat grass.

This is the secret to its strength. The looks of the lion is a product of it's food. Innovation, creativity & flexibility is a product of inspiration, information, revelation & insight. Eat live food & not decayed meat as a leader.

3. The lion is protective.

You don't have to watch many Discovery Channel shows about lions to see how protective they are - of territory, themselves, their young, and so forth.

As far as being more lion-like in leadership, what do you need to be protective of? Protective of yourself? Your cell? Your department? Your organisation? Your family?Your employees? Your position? Your beliefs? Your converts?

So, You must know exactly what you need to be protective of?

4. Lion is brave and willing to fight

Being lion-like means you are brave and courageous. Naturally, you choose when and where to be brave vs. timid, courageous vs. cowardly. We all make choices every day. Look for opportunities today and every day where you can be brave.

Hmm...we know that lions will fight when need be. They don't pick fights but because they are willing to protect their food, their mates, their territory and so forth, they will fight if necessary. What is the one thing you are willing to fight for?

Many parents would be willing to fight for their children. In leadership you must be willing to fight. At a time indomine noodles was said to be poisoning people. Bloggers & journalists wrote thesis against them. But they fought, they continued advertising, sponsoring games, events and never stopped showing up. They swallowed up the controversy against them.

What is it for you? Really. What are you willing to fight for? The one thing?

5. Lions have Laser Focus by Eliminating Distractions

When a lion is hunting a zebra, it uses all its senses to accomplish the task at hand. You need to be the same way when working on your organisatiom. The best way to do this is to start eliminating your distractions.

First, get rid of too much TV. It's one of the worst time killers. Secondly, make a list of all the people you hang out with on a regular basis. Then ask yourself which of those people are helping you become the person you want to be.

If they don't make the cut, remove them from your life. It may sound harsh, but if you don't move on without them, they're going to bring you down. This is especially true for people who criticize your goals. No one builds statues for critics, and you don't have time for haters.
Tywin Lannister said it best: "A lion does not concern himself with the opinions of a sheep."

6. Lions work with a Pack/Pride of Lions

Lions are the only social cats, especially when catching and eating their prey. To be a successful leaders, you need to recruit like-minded people to work with.

Allow and encourage your team members to make their own decisions and take on new challenges. Take the time to look for ways to help people in your cell/clan grow.

As an leader you interact with others on a daily basis.  Not only with your members, but with family members, friends and other leaders.

Spend quality time with mentors and other successful leaders from other organisations.

These people are part of your "pride/pack" who are there to support and assist, impart knowledge and understanding to help you on your safari through the leadership jungle.

7. Lions take Care of thenselves

Lions sleep 20 hours a day. While you don't need to go that far, you need to make time to rest. Stop depriving yourself of sleep.

For some reason, some leaders like to brag about sleeping only four to five hours a night. But this sleep schedule will not only cause you to lose concentration and gain weight but also make it look as though you don't trust your team.

Understand people will judge you on results. Begin by making a list of tasks that you're responsible for getting done every day. When you find yourself unable to complete tasks, delegate them to a team member or plan a few extra hours on the weekend for work. Work on your schedule until you can get at least six hours of sleep every night.

8. The lion hunts consistently.

If suitable prey is available, lions eat every 3 to 4 days, but can go without food for more than a week. They average about 5 to 7kgs meat daily, but can consume about 25% of their body mass if necessary.

The lion understands that it need prey to stay alive. Please members are not preys to organisations but leaders need followers for their organisations to stay alive.

The lion is always found around its prey. Where is your organisation pitched. You must know your target market. If you need professional, pitch at Linkin and twitter. If your targeted audience are youths then pitch in Facebook and instagram. If your targeted audience are the elderly pitch at the newspapers and local channels.

Stand and pitch at your mountain top for visibility(to be seen) and audibity (to be heard). Members are the life blood of every organisation so hunt daily.
You need it.
